Privacy policy

PriceCompare helps you compare electronics prices and features. We collect as little as possible, we don't show ads, and we never sell your data.

What stays on your device

Your recent searches, recently viewed products, inferred interests, compare list and tracked prices are saved in your browser (local storage). They never leave your device unless you turn on email alerts. You can see, pause or clear them anytime on Your activity.

If you sign in with Google

We receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We keep them in a secure, signed session cookie in your browser to show that you're signed in. We don't store a user profile on our servers and we never access your Gmail, contacts or other Google data.

If you turn on email price alerts

• We store your email address, the product and your target price so we can email you when the price drops.
• Every alert email has a one-click link to stop it, which deletes that alert.
• Emails are sent through our email provider, Resend.

AI features

When you describe what you need in the search bar, or open a comparison, the text of your search and the product data are sent to Anthropic (Claude) to produce the answer. We don't send your name, email or account details with these requests.

Service providers

• Vercel: hosting (standard server logs, such as IP address, kept briefly for security).
• Upstash: database for price alerts and rate limiting.
• Resend: sending alert emails.
• Anthropic: AI search and comparison summaries.
• Google: sign-in, if you choose it.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed for signing in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

Clear your on-device data on Your activity, stop any alert from its email, sign out anytime, or email us to delete anything we hold about you.
